Spotlight on Spirit Point Healing
New business profiles, welcome breakfast and installation dinner start off new year.
Happy New Year! One thing I’d like to do in 2011 is to present some of the profiles and stories the members of the Greater Severna Park Chamber have shared with me. We have some great businesses in the Greater Severna Park area and it’s a pleasure to share a little more about them.
One such business is Spirit Point Healing.
Rachel Sara Strass, Mac, Lac, Dipl Ac (NCCAOM) is the owner of this holistic health practice located in Severna Park. She specializes in acupuncture and zero balancing. The focus of the practice is to provide people with balanced healing, and support in all stages of life, specializing in changes of life, relief from anxiety, depression and pain; as well as other concerns such as addictions, fertility, and insomnia.
Almost everyone wants to live a long life, if not to live indefinitely. Many people believe that aches and pains and fatigue go hand-in-hand with aging. According to Chinese Medicine, these concerns are evidence of imbalance, not age. Just like anything else, how we age depends on how hard we run, how well we rest, how long we let problems go before taking care of them, and what we eat.
One of the ways to age more gracefully, according to Strass, is to take a break and do personal maintenance in the wintertime. Just as winter is a time for rest, the other season are meant for other things. Strass focuses on the balance of nature. Along with using acupuncture to put you into balance, she coaches how to live in the flow, using what is already there for you to enhance your life. If you’d like to learn more about Spirit Point Healing, call 410-570-2896. Her practice is conveniently located at 645 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park.
The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce continues to add new businesses to its roster. Some of our newest members include Linda Kemp with New York Life; Wayman Good Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church; El Dorado Hospitality; Qual-i-Tax, Inc.; and Annapolis Home Magazine.
Additionally ART Lawn & Yard Management has joined, as well as Tall Tree Service and Twelve Minute Tag & Title. Sunny Montessori School has opened at 90C Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, and Sport Clips Severna Park (near Brian Boru) is under new ownership.
From time to time the Chamber holds a Welcome Breakfast for our newest members and prospective members who’d like to learn a little more about us. Our next one is at Ron George Jewelers on Benfield Road on Feb. 3 . Renee Kremm of New York Life Insurance is co-sponsoring the 7:30am event. There is no fee, but an RSVP is requested to 410-647-3900.
