SPHS Hosts Fashion Show for March of Dimes

The annual fashion show will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The Severna Park High School (SPHS) Key Club will host its eighth annual fashion show on Friday with proceeds benefiting March of Dimes.

“This is the eighth year Key Club is putting on a fashion show for a March of Dimes fundraiser,” said SPHS senior Samantha Flohr. “Key Club is a group that does all different kinds of fundraising and volunteer work.”

The fashion show will feature hair and makeup from Jordan Taylor Salon located in Severna Park. David’s Bridal is donating clothing for the girls and the boys will be modeling the latest fashions from Men’s Warehouse.

The show features 26 girls and 11 guys as models. A variety of businesses will also be available for questions during intermission.

“My favorite part is being in the lobby during intermission and getting to talk with everyone,” Flohr said. “I also like when someone from March of Dimes speaks.”

Flohr said each year they have a speaker from March of Dimes come and tell their story or how the organization has helped them.

“It makes you feel really good for helping out,” Flohr said.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday at SPHS. Tickets may be purchased at the door and cost $7 for adults and $5 for students.
