SPCC Summer Camp Registration Begins Saturday
Parents can begin signing up their children for the Severna Park Community Center's summer camp on Saturday.
The Severna Park Community Center will begin sign-ups for its seven-week long summer camp on Saturday.
Parents can begin signing up their children for as many weeks as they would like at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the community center. The camp is available for kids in elementary and middle school.
The SPCC's program is called "Want a Funner Summer?" and will begin June 24 and run for seven straight weeks from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Each week will have a theme and the camp is run by an Anne Arundel County educator with more than 20 years of experience.
"The camp has sold out every year and it is really diverse and something we look forward to every year in terms of having all the kids around," said SPCC Executive Director Jennie Boden.
The middle school campers will go on two field trips a week, and the elementary-aged students will go on one. Throughout the day campers will get to participate in a variety of activities including swimming, arts and crafts and mission work.
Parents interested in signing their child up for the camp can do so from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the community center. Online registration will also be available starting Saturday at noon.
