Severna Park Native Among Those in Seton Hill Bus Crash

A bus carrying the university's women's lacrosse team crashed in Pennsylvania on Saturday killing the team's coach.

 

A bus carrying the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team crashed Saturday morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, killing the team's coach and the bus driver. Twenty other passengers were reportedly injured in the crash.

The team had four players from Maryland including goal keeper Kaitlyn Flaskerud who played at Severna Park High School, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Reports said that Kristina Quigley, 30, the head coach for the team and a Baltimore native, was killed in the crash near Carlisle, PA. She was six months pregnant and the baby also died, according to The Sun.

Flaskerud, a sophomore, has played in four games for Seton Hill this season and has recorded 14 saves.
