Severna Park's Old Navy Store to Close

The clothing store in Severna Park Marketplace is leaving in early 2012.

The Old Navy store in the Severna Park Marketplace will be closing in late January 2012 and A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts will be moving in Feb. 1, according to leasing agent Alan Gersh, of Saul Centers, Inc.

As of a month ago, Saul Centers, Inc. is handling the leasing and management for the shopping center.

The landlord of the shopping center is B.F. Saul Company.

Locally, Old Navy has a store in the Harbour Center in Annapolis and at the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover. A.C. Moore has another location on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

Excited to have a craft store so close! Joann is great for fabric, but I've been wishing we had a better stocked craft store!

Can't wait for AC Moore to move in. They have a great scrapbooking section!

I agree with you Janet. That is why it is better to just have one in Glen Burnie. We spend less if we have to travel farther to get it. I am a little nervous about this!!!

This is one of the best old navy's around. The one in Annapolis and Arundel Mills are always messy and the employees, especially at Arundel are rude. This store has been there for a long time and it's sad to see it go, especially to A. C. Moore which has a location just 20 mins down the road. Also there's a joann fabrics across the street that always has good sales and sells basically the same stuff!

AC Moore obviously did NOT open in Feb 1 -- and I've not seen a single advert of any kind about when it actually IS going to open. The signs are up and I've seen signs that they were hiring, but if the store is open, it isn't obvious from the road. Guess I need to take a ride through the parking lot -- but find it odd that there has been no publicity about this. Yes, we DO have an AC Moore "20 minutes down the road," but getting there is through some killer traffic, and the store in Glen Burnie is NOTHING like the old ACM in the Pep Boys shopping center -- so am glad to see it coming to Severna Park.

Saw lights on in the store and at least one person moving around in there this morning, and it looked fairly well stocked. Should be opening any day.
