Severna Park's varsity ice hockey team will face off Monday night in a state championship matchup.

The local ice hockey team will compete against Washington County in the Class 1A ice hockey state championships at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel at 5 p.m.

The co-op club team is composed of students from Severna Park High School, and Severn School, and is led by coach Chuck Fox.

Two of Severna Park's players were named to the all-state team, including goalie Travis Danko, and defensive player Jake Seibel, according to the Maryland Student Hockey League.
