If you are looking to start your weekend out right go to the Severna Park Farmer's Market located in the Park n Ride on the corner of Ritchie Highway and Jones Station Road. The market is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Oct. 29.

By 9 a.m. last Saturday, this Farmers Market was booming offering a little something for everyone.  Coffee to wake you up, pastries for your breakfast, flowers for your garden,  plenty of  fruits and vegetables, free range meats, chickens and eggs, and all from local Maryland farmers and businesses.

" This is my Saturday morning ritual! I come rain or shine every week," said Teresa Scott.

Meredith Callahan, a regular customer of the market for the past 10 years said: " I would not miss it! It's the highlight of my summer. I've raised my boys coming here and today I brought my niece."

"The regular customers become like family. I've watched children grow up over the last 10 years. You know when they are expecting, and you know when they are sick. We have the best regulars," said Anita Robertson.

Great article. I've been going to the farmer's market for years and I love the fresh produce and breads along with all the seasonal plants. Nice to see names with the faces. Grab a friend and make it a Saturday morning ritual.
