Severna Park Kiwanis Mardi Gras
Where/When: Elks Club #2482, 160 Truckhouse Road, Severna Park. Friday, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Why Go: Live music by Ellis Woodward, appetizers, live and silent auction, a money wheel, 50/50 and a cash bar. Proceeds will benefit local charities.
Pricing: $10 per person

Where/When: Eastport Democratic Club, 525 State St, Annapolis; Saturday, 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. Rain or Shine.
Why Go: Get into the St. Patrick's Day spirit with green beer relays, Kool-Aid races for kids, refreshments, corned beef & cabbage, hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh oysters, steamed spiced shrimp and more. Fun day all day!
Pricing: $50 team donation to SPCA required to race.

Cooking Demonstration
Where/When: Annapolis Seafood in Park Plaza, Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Saturday, 1 - 4 p.m.
Why Go:
The Dirt Man is doing a live cooking video demo, stop in for free seafood samples and door prizes. There will be four cooking demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

Mermaids of the Chesapeake Art Exhibit
Where/When: Benfield Frame and Art Gallery, 485 Jumpers Hole Road, Severna Park. Starts Monday through April 10; 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Why Go: Kathy Daywalt of Pasadena presents “Mermaids of the Chesapeake” an exhibit of linoleum block prints.
Pricing: Free to visit and browse the art.
