Road Closures Due to B&A Trail Marathon Sunday
The marathon will prompt some temporary road closures near Severna Park High School and the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail.
Several roads in Severna Park will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday due to the Annapolis Striders B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon event. Robinson Road in front of Severna Park High School will be temporarily closed to allow runners to cross into a nearby community between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to county police. Both marathons begin and end at the high school.
Also between these times, Evergreen Road will be temporarily closed at Stewart Way down to Maple Avenue to allow participants onto the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail.
According to police, these closures will only last between five and ten minutes and should not cause any significant delays for motorists. Police will be directing traffic during the event. Motorists are asked to use extra caution due to the increased pedestrian traffic in the area.
