In a sure sign that spring is right around the corner, Rita's Italian Ice begins a new season on Friday.

The Rita's in Severna Park opened up at noon on Friday. According to the stand's Facebook page, this season Rita's will offer new flavors and 24 different toppings.

Rita's recently announced a new rewards program that allows you to earn loyalty rewards through an application on your smartphone.
