South River High School principal Will Myers, a former principal at Severna Park High School, finished his 100th marathon last weekend as part of the Annapolis Striders B&A Trail Marathon.

Myers' friend Marie Friedland said the principal is part of the running club that promotes physical fitness in the area, and that he's been running for fun for decades.

Myers wasn't the only one who ran the race with special significance. Another runner, Ron Bowman, also completed his 100th marathon Sunday in Severna Park, according to Annapolis Striders photographer Jon Valentine.

Valentine was kind enough to share photos of Myers' run with Patch and capture the moment when Myers hit the century mark of races as he crossed the finish line last Sunday.
