More Valentine's Day Dinner Delights Close to Home
Patch features more favorite places in Severna Park to spoil your Valentine on Monday.
The way to a man’s heart and a woman’s, too? A romantic, delectable dinner out on the town. No dishes to do, a glass of wine and was that a sweet nothing being whispered in your ear?
Savor the qualities that make your loved one so endearing over candlelight at one of your favorite Severna Park dining spots on Monday night and Patch promises, you will not be disappointed.
Violins will provide the romantic background music, the menu will overflow with savory choices – how does “Lobster Tail Arrabiata” or “Pistachio Pork Chop” sound? The ever-friendly staff at Mezzanotte is eager to provide an elegant evening for you and your Valentine. Seating is cozy and comfortable; the aromas and atmosphere divine. Make your reservation early; this spot is always a favorite.
If it’s French food that puts you in the mood, c’est magnifique at Café Bretton. Though not usually open Mondays, they welcome all Valentines from 5 p.m.to 10 p.m. Chef Victor has selected a delightful menu for the night to tantalize your sweetheart’s tastebuds. Filet with French bleu cheese in brandy cream sauce, sea scallops in pepper sauce over linguini... Can you say ooh la la?
And should your cravings for 2011’s Valentine’s dinner run toward the “mein” stream (ouch), head to Szechuan Inn where lo and chow mein reign supreme. The exotic drink menu is fun to choose from and the efficient and charming staff is always more than happy to explain the many Chinese meal choices.
The grill will be fired up at Garry’s Grill all day on the 14th, but dinners here are always that much more special. Consider this Severna Park favorite if it’s comfort food you and your love are hankerin’ for. Garry's is very appealing to the palate and the wallet. Visit the website for online coupon offerings, too. Always save room for divine dessert.
Let’s face it. Valentine's Day is a Monday this year. You’re tired. Been working hard all day. Just may not have the energy to get all gussied up and head out for that nice quiet meal with the Mrs. Then it's Boston Market to the rescue.
Have you been there lately? You may be pleasantly surprised. The Valentine’s Day Fairy will be a big hit at home when he or she comes swooping in with a couple of bags of steaming hot dishes from this local eatery. Yes, fresh veggies, salads, the standard chicken or meatloaf, Boston Market can send you home with drinks and dessert, too. Use the paper plates; you'll be loved forever.
All done? Shift the family and the dog into the family room. Let them find love watching “The Bachelor” on the tube while you and your significant other sneak off into the hot tub with that nice bottle of champagne you picked up at Dawson’s on your way home.
Cheers! Here's to another successful Valentine’s Day dinner in the Park.

Wow, that Cafe Breton looks adorable! I'll have to make sure to get over there. And great idea about Boston Market. Heck -- heck, how romantic is that to get all the 'good stuff' home, plated and on the table with candles for your sweetie. Just hide the packages! Love it.
