The musical Annie Junior, based on a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents who left her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage, will be performed by the Jones Elementary School drama club on March 2 and 3.
The public is invited to the performance. Tickets are $5 and concessions will be available at the school, located at 122 Hoyle Ln. in Severna Park.
The cast and crew are made up of fourth- and fifth-graders, and led by director Joe Thompson, a seasoned actor and director whose experience includes work with groups such as the Colonial Players and Children's Theatre of Annapolis, according to the release.
Managing this production are club co-chairs Barbara Kalafos and Bonnie Levin.
Show times are 7 p.m. March 2, and 1 and 7 p.m. March 3.
