Hospice Hires New Fundraising Chief
The group's new director of major gifts has an extensive background in local volunteer community.
Hospice of the Chesapeake recently hired Lynne Davidson to help guide its fundraising efforts as it moves into a relocation and significant expansion.
Davidson of Annapolis is now the philanthropy team's director of major gifts, according to a release. As such, she will be responsible for all aspects of donor cultivation and gifts management, officials said in the release.
"Ms. Davidson has had a remarkable career in fundraising and has demonstrated a true passion for hospice that will enable us to care for more patients and families throughout the communities we serve,” Shauna Chabot, the hospice's chief advancement officer, said in a release.
She was most recently a professional fundraising adviser for major gifts, annual and capital campaigns and board/volunteer development with clients throughout the Washington-Baltimore area, according to the release. She also served as communications coordinator for Arundel Community Development Services Inc.
Davidson also has volunteered in leadership roles for Anne Arundel Women Giving Together, the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and Planned Parenthood, according to the release.
Hospice is now in the process of planning a move to a new campus on the border between Severna Park and Pasadena. The group will be leaving its Defense Highway location for the new six-acre property thanks to its largest single donation it received anonymously last year.
