Free Outdoor Movie in June
The free 'First Friday' movies begin next month at Park Plaza in Severna Park.
Summer must be near because the "First Friday Movies Under the Stars" in Park Plaza on Ritchie Highway begins on June 1. Sponsored by the merchants, the shopping center offers the community free outdoor movies on the first Friday of every month beginning in June and runs through October.
The first movie is Karate Kid (2010 version) starting at 8:30 p.m. June 1.
Before the movie, there will be a live Kung Fu performance by students of the award-winning Jing Ying Institute of Arnold who will have crafts for children, giveaways, and a special prize package moviegoers can enter to win.
Free popcorn will be provided by Ace Hardware in Park Plaza.
Here's the summer movie lineup:
June: Karate Kid (2010 version) movie begins about 8:30 p.m.

The movie night at Park Plaza was changed to this Friday, June 8, due to inclement weather last week. Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi will be performing a kung fu demo around 8pm, before the movie and will have fun crafts and giveaways too.
