Former Falcon Earns Award At American University

The former Severna Park field hockey player was named goalkeeper of the week.

 

A former Severna Park High School field hockey player is continuing to succeed in her career at American University.

Ashley Dalisera was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, according to a release on American University’s Athletics website.

According to the release, Dalisera had a dominating performance during the team’s first game at the Terrapin Invitational held at the University of Maryland College Park over the weekend. The Eagles defeated Dartmouth in a 3-0 shutout on Saturday.

Dalisera, a Millersville native, recorded four saves in the outing as the Eagles earned their first win of the season, according to the team’s website.

During the tournament, American also topped No. 19 Massachusetts 2-1 in double overtime. The release stated, Dalisera recorded a career-high 14 saves with a .947 save percentage in the victory.
