Wearing jeans to work is always a treat and putting the denim to work for a good cause like the Toys for Tots program makes it brighter for those in need. The staff at the Champion Realty sales and administrative offices in the Severna Park Village shopping center are a collection site for Toys for Tots, which runs through Dec. 8.
To keep the momentum up for donations among the staff, employees could donate a minimum of $5 to wear jeans to work each day this week, which they designated "spirit week" with a new theme each day, said Tammy Schisler, marketing coordinator. All of the donations benefit the Toys for Tots program.
The spirit week themes started on Monday with employees wearing Champion shirts, followed by holiday (put a decoration on the office tree), faux pas (mix and match), tropical and today, football Friday, when staff can where their favorite team jersey or colors along with their jeans.
New and unwrapped toys are being collected at the Severna Park Office from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also drop boxes at Champion's administrative offices (next to Savvy Consignments) is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
