Catching Up With ‘Pippin’ Star Taylor Brown
The Severna Park High senior is playing Pippin in the Catonsville Youth Theatre’s production of "Pippin Junior."
Patch stopped by Severna Park High School to talk with a few drama students participating in the Catonsville Youth Theatre’s production of "Pippin Junior."
Senior Taylor Brown is playing Pippin in the production, which involves seven Severna Park High students.
Pasadena Patch: How long have you been participating in drama and what are a few productions you have participated in?
Taylor Brown: Four—I have been in Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis.
Pasadena Patch: What is your favorite part about being in Pippin Junior?
Brown: The songs are absolutely amazing and the cast is best friends with everyone so we are like a big family.
Pasadena Patch: What was one of your favorite roles you have played in a production?
Brown: Probably Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof because my part was really high energy and I got to develop a high note. And it was just a lot of good songs
Pasadena Patch: What else do you like to do besides drama?
Brown: I like to sing and well drama is just kind of my life. I work at the pharmacy at Giant.
Pasadena Patch: What is one of you favorite shows you have ever seen?
Brown: Wicked at the Kennedy Center. It was like my first show that was close to Broadway. The effects were amazing, the singing was fantastic and it was just awesome.
