Attempted Robbery at Severna Park Bank ATM
A woman reported she was assaulted while attempting to make a withdrawal outside of the M&T Bank on Tuesday night.
A 56-year-old woman was struck and knocked to the ground when attempting to make a withdrawal on Tuesday night at the M&T Bank on Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Officers responded to the call at 9:12 p.m. when a woman reported she was attempting to make a withdrawal from an ATM machine when she was approached by two men.
According to a police press release, she was struck and knocked to the ground by one of the suspects, who then attempted to complete her transaction, but was unsuccessful.
Police reported that both men fled on foot in an unknown direction. Numerous officers and a K-9 unit searched the area, but were unable to locate them. The victim sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
The suspects were described as two young males, both about 6-foot with thin builds, wearing jeans and dark hoodies
