Sample more than 100 wines at a wine tasting for charity from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Homestead Gardens on Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. There will be local live music, a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, and bottled wines for sale.

The sponsors are Fishpaws Marketplace, Homestead Gardens and Zachary's Jewelers. 

The proceeds will benefit Serving People Across Neighborhoods (SPAN) an emergency assistance network for families in crisis.

Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door.

The ticket price includes a $10 coupon at Fishpaws and a corkscrew.
