Shipley's Choice Elementary School students were treated to a highly informational and entertaining musical presentation by "Slim Goodbody."Slim Goodbody takes his traveling, "Musical Health Show" to elementary schools to stress to the students and teachers the importance of being healthy. Slim, while wearing a skeleton suit, explained the inner workings of the human body, supported with a visual video presentation. 

Mr. Goodbody explained in a fun way, the systems of the human brain, heart, lungs, digestion, cells, muscles and bones. At one point, in the presentation, Slim showed a video of an actual healthy heart beating. Some students were lucky enough to participate on stage with Slim. 

A favorite segment was the importance of not smoking. This time, Slim showed a photo of a healthy lung and an unhealthy lung, that was scarred due to the effects of smoking.  Slim also spoke about how healthy eating and exercise is extremely important in maintaining good health.

Today, thanks to Slim Goodbody, the students at Shipley's Choice Elementary School learned more about their bodies and how important it is to take care of the one & only body that they have.
