Friends of La Resurrection Parish Organization Meeting
Representatives from all of the U.S. Haiti Partnership Episcopal parish churches who are working with Pere Jean Lenord Quatorze and the people of La Resurrection Parish schools, women's center, and health clinics will be meeting on Saturday (Feb. 11) in Severna Park to establish a cooperative organization between their respective partnerships.
Representatives from Maine (St. John Baptist - Thomaston, St. Andrew's - Newcastle, St. Anne's - Windham, St. Peter's - Bridgton), New York (Trinity - Fishkill, Vassar Haiti Project - Poughkeepsie), Connecticut (St. John's - Stamford), and Maryland (St. Martin's in-the-Field - Severna Park, St. Dunstan's - Bethesda, Middleham & St. Peter's - Lusby, and Christ Church - Nanjemoy) will be meeting to establish a mutual support organization for work with their Haitian partners at Gros Morne - La Resurrection School and Women's Center, L'Acul - Bon Samaritain School and Health Clinic, Figaro - St. Luc School, Fiervil - St. Michel School, Chermaitre- St. Paul School, and Treille- St. Barnabas School.
Coming from Haiti to participate in the meeting are Pere Jean Lenord Quatorze, priest-in-charge of La Resurrection Parish, and Angela Galbreath, ECUSA Missioner to Haiti and assistant director of the Haiti Partnership Program.
Visitors from out of town will arrive on Friday with the informational and organizational meetings taking place on Saturday, ( Feb. 11) at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church (morning information meeting) and the Severna Park Community Center (afternoon organization meeting).
All will be together for dinner on Saturday evening, and for worship service at St. Martin's in-the-Field Church at 9 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 12).
