Folger Families Enjoy Successful 5K/ Fun Run
About 250 participants came out to Kinder Farm Park for the 5th Annual Folger McKinsey Fun Run 5K and 1 Miler on May 20. Folger families were met with sunny skies, a refreshing breeze, and favorable running conditions.
Building school spirit and pride were physical education teacher Timothy Smith and members of Folger’s own "Girls on the Run" teams who helped by leading the pre-race warm-ups and stretching exercises.
The girls added inspiration and much-appreciated fun by lining the race course to cheer and encourage the runners.
Families were given the opportunity to bid on valuable silent auction items, with proceeds benefiting Folger's PTO.
Congratulations goes out to fifth-grader Ty Benz, who was the overall winner of the 1-Miler.
