The second annual Conquer Chiari "Walk Across America" will be held at Kinder Farm Park on Sept. 22. Megan Killpatrick, 13, of Shipley's Choice, is the chairperson of the event.

Participation is free and those that pre-register by Aug. 11 will receive a T-shirt for a $25 donation.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.

Corporate sponsors are needed.

Chiari Malformation is a neurological disorder where the cerebellum, or bottom part of the brain, descends out of the skull and crowds the spinal cord. This results in pressure on both the brain and spine, causing many symptoms.
